Expedition Balaclava

The Expedition Balaclava is designed to protect against the coldest temperatures. This two-piece system provides premium protection: the balaclava hood covers the head and neck, and the detachable face mask covers the nose and mouth. The face mask has our patented ventilator that helps warm and humidify inhaled air. A hidden nose wire allows a custom fit. 

The fabric is Polartec® Wind Pro® fleece that is soft, stretchy and breathable. The tightly knit exterior is resistant to the wind and snow. Overall, the Expedition Balaclava provides superior comfort and protection for your coldest adventure. Made in USA/Berry Compliant. 

Inventory update: We sold through all our inventory of black Expedition Balaclava L/XL during winter of 2025. We are making more asap, and this color and size will be available again in Fall 2026. The Science: The ColdAvenger design and function is based on established science which documents the adverse effects of cold exposure on the face and airway, and the mitigation of those adverse effects. Our patented design offers multi-functional protection for cold operations and survival. Independent testing within a cold chamber has shown the ColdAvenger will transform -72F air outside the ventilator to an average of 59F air inside the ventilator.
